Welcome from Our Head of School

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

At Wyndcroft, we believe that the best education is both rooted and rising—rooted in timeless values of character, curiosity, and care, and rising toward the promise of innovation, leadership, and opportunity. We aspire to ensure that every child who walks through our doors is known, challenged, and supported, and that every graduate leaves with choices, confidence, and the courage to lead in an evolving world.

As I continue my first year as Head of School, I am proud to join a community that has shaped young learners for more than a century. Since 1918, Wyndcroft has stood as a place where Non Sibi, “not for oneself,” is more than a motto; it is a way of being. Our students discover early what it means to learn for the sake of understanding, to serve with empathy, and to belong to something larger than themselves.

In my short time here, I have seen what makes Wyndcroft extraordinary. Many strengths have emerged, but none more striking than the way connection and excellence go hand in hand. In our small classes, teachers spark curiosity and provide the kind of individual attention that helps students flourish. In our Upper School, students stretch into leadership roles—whether in academics, the arts, athletics, or service—and emerge as candidates of choice for the strongest high schools in our region. Along the way, they experience the joy of learning in a community that celebrates creativity, perseverance, and kindness.

I know the power of schools like Wyndcroft because I have seen what happens when children are truly known. As an educator and as a parent, I believe education is about more than mastering content; it is about developing character, confidence, and a sense of purpose. That is the promise we make to every child and family who chooses Wyndcroft.

I invite you to visit us, walk our campus, and feel the energy of our classrooms and the warmth of our community. Here, leaders do not wait until adulthood to emerge. They begin their journey in our beautiful Early Learning Center (starting at age three), in science labs, on playing fields, on stage, and in the friendships they form every day.

I look forward to welcoming you to Wyndcroft, a place where your child will be known, inspired, and prepared to rise.

With gratitude and excitement,

Mr. Wilson Felter
Head of School
