Director of Finance and Operations

We are seeking a Director of Finance & Operations who is eager to play a central role in that work. This is a leadership opportunity for a thoughtful and strategic professional who sees finance not simply as a function, but as a vital expression of mission, sustainability, and care for community.

Working closely with the Head of School and partnering with the Board of Trustees, the Director of Finance & Operations serves as the school’s lead steward of financial and operational health. The role oversees budgeting, financial planning, and business office operations, while also contributing to broader institutional strategy and decision-making. As a member of the Wyndcroft Leadership Team, this individual will help shape the direction of the school, model collaboration and accountability, and support a culture grounded in trust and continuous improvement .

Director of Admission and Communications

We are seeking a Director of Admission and Communications to join our leadership team and help shape the future of our school through thoughtful enrollment strategy, compelling storytelling, and meaningful engagement with families.

This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for:

  • Driving enrollment outcomes and strengthening the student pipeline
  • Leading the admission process from inquiry through enrollment
  • Ensuring that Wyndcroft’s story is told clearly, consistently, and authentically
  • Partnering with faculty and staff to reflect the life of the school in our communications

The Director of Admission and Communications serves as a member of the Wyndcroft Leadership Team and works closely with the Head of School and colleagues across the institution to align enrollment strategy with the school’s mission and long-term sustainability.

Upper School Science Teacher

At The Wyndcroft School, learning is rooted in curiosity, relationships, and a deep belief in the potential of every child. As an Early Childhood – 8th independent school guided by our mission of Non Sibi (“not for oneself”), we are committed to academic excellence and to preparing students for success in high school and beyond. Our School challenges students to think critically, communicate clearly, and engage meaningfully with the world around them.

We are seeking an Upper School Science Teacher (grades 6-8) who is inspired by the power of inquiry and the joy of discovery. This is an opportunity to join a kind, collaborative faculty committed to creating meaningful learning experiences that challenge, engage, and support our students.

Wyndcroft teachers design classroom experiences where students ask generative questions, test ideas, and make connections between what they learn and the world beyond school. Our science teacher will lead engaging instruction for middle school students, develop a curriculum that promotes critical thinking and creativity, and partner with colleagues to support and sometimes co-create a cohesive and forward-looking STEM program. Wyndcroft teachers build strong relationships with students and their families by partnering with parents and caregivers to help our young adolescents grow with confidence, curiosity, and a sense of belonging.

Substitute Teacher

Available on an as-needed basis, this employee is responsible for carrying out the lesson plans and duties of the teacher for whom he/she is substituting. Duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Following the lesson plan left by the teacher for whom he/she is substituting
  • Meeting and instructing assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.
  • Establishing and maintaining order in the classroom.
  • Maintaining a classroom environment conducive to effective learning.
  • Taking all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, materials, equipment, and facilities.
  • Assisting in upholding and enforcing school rules, and administrative guidelines.

Public Relations:

  • Cooperating with school personnel.
  • Establishing and maintaining cooperative relations with all members of the school community.

Reporting:

  • Reporting to the Assistant Head of School or designee at the beginning and end of the school day.
  • Other responsibilities as directed by the Head of School.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Completion of school orientation.
  • PA Clearances: Criminal Background Check, Child Abuse History, FBI Fingerprinting

Desired Qualifications:

  • Teaching Certification
  • Experience working with students.

Part-Time Coaching

About The Wyndcroft School

The Wyndcroft School provides a place where tradition and innovation intersect. As an Early Childhood through 8th grade school, we have the privilege of stewarding young minds and hearts through a journey of discovery, growth and development. Small class sizes foster opportunities to offer a high-quality educational experience where our faculty and staff develop strong connections with student athletes.

Available Opportunities

Time Commitment

  • Practice Time:
  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday- 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM
  • Thursday- 2:00 PM - 3:15 PM
  • Game Day Time: (Monday and Wednesday)
  • Games begin at 3:30 PM and typically end by 4:30 PM. There will be travel time on either side.

Reporting:

  • Reporting to the Assistant Head of School or designee at the beginning and end of the school day.
  • Other responsibilities as directed by the Head of School.

Minimum Requirements

  • Prior coaching experience preferred
  • Knowledge of a particular sport preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven ability to exemplify the highest standard of leadership, sportsmanship, and respect

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Attend and oversee all practices and games.
  • Develop, coordinate, and conduct all practices.
  • Travel to and from off-site locations (practice or contests) with student-athletes on the bus.
  • Build meaningful relationships with players as it pertains to the particular sport.
  • Coach and teach the game, including individual skills and team strategies.
  • Represent the school in a manner that exhibits and promotes Wyndcroft’s mission and values.
  • Support of the overall athletic program and student-athletes.
  • Attend the sports awards assembly.

Compensation
This is a paid stipend position.
