Empowering Students Through Athletics

At The Wyndcroft School, physical activity forms a core part of a well-rounded education. We foster a love of movement and build confidence in students’ abilities, laying the foundation for a lifetime of healthy, active living.

Our athletics and physical education programs challenge each student to grow at their own pace. From fundamental skills to exposure to a variety of sports, and from non-competitive play to spirited team competitions, every child has the opportunity to develop strength, coordination, and confidence. Whether mastering the art of skipping in kindergarten or cradling a lacrosse ball in middle school, students learn to trust their abilities and thrive as part of a team.

By the time they graduate, Wyndcroft students leave skilled, confident, and ready—with the teamwork, discipline, and resilience to pursue any sport they choose in high school and beyond.

Teamwork and Sportsmanship

Equally important as the skills themselves is the spirit behind them. At Wyndcroft, students learn commitment, teamwork, and sportsmanship—celebrating victories with humility and facing challenges with courage.

In grades six through eight, students select athletic activities or team sports across all three seasons of the school year. Our team sports program competes in local independent school leagues and friendly matches, with a no-cut policy ensuring every student who wants to participate can do so. More than 90% of our Upper School students embrace the program, developing not just athletic skills but a lifelong appreciation for collaboration, perseverance, and the joy of movement.
