Biography
Gerald Kielburger joined The Wyndcroft School for the 2023-2024 year as an Upper School Humanities teacher. Mr. Kielburger grew up in Chalfont and graduated from Central Bucks South High School. He received his Bachelor of Science in Social Studies Secondary Education from Temple University, and is currently working on his Master’s in American history through Gettysburg College. Mr. Kielburger’s prior experience in education includes working at an after-school program at a local YMCA and coaching ice hockey for a travel club team. His path with teaching officially began in 2014, working at a Catholic school in the Olney section of Philadelphia, and then served as the assistant principal and middle school social studies teacher at a Catholic school in Glenside. In the classroom, Mr. Kielburger prides himself in making history relevant to his students’ present-day lives. He is passionate about history, especially with seeing how significant events impact the future. His aim is to not only teach the students about the many sagas of historical events, but to also help them become better citizens of the world.
Mr. Kielburger lives in Souderton with his wife, Ashley, sons Gregory and August, and their two cats, Millie and Steve. Mr. Kielburger is an avid ice hockey fan and you will see him rooting for the locally unpopular Pittsburgh Penguins. During his free time he likes playing golf, kayaking, hiking, grilling, watching TV shows/movies, and spending time outdoors. Music is also a major part of Mr. Kielburger’s life and he plays drums and guitar, having been a part of many bands since childhood.
