Biography

Mrs. Elizabeth Fretz has been a member of the Wyndcroft School community since 2006. Although originally from Brookfield, Connecticut, she now resides in Harleysville with her husband and her three sons, two of whom are Wyndcroft graduates and one currently in fourth grade at Wyndcroft.

Before joining Wyndcroft, Mrs. Fretz graduated from Keene State College in Keene, New Hampshire with Bachelor’s degrees in Elementary Education and Social Science. Her first job was in Richlands Elementary School in Richlands, North Carolina as a fourth grade teacher. It was there that she developed her teaching philosophy about the importance of making learning accessible, relevant, and student-centered.

Mrs. Fretz taught fifth and sixth grade language arts for sixteen years, before starting a new position in 2022 as Wyndcroft’s Chief Academic Officer. She has served as the School’s Assistant Head of School since 2023 and, happily, she will continue instruction by teaching the fifth grade health class.

Mrs. Fretz is currently finishing her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership at Lehigh University with an anticipated completion date of May 2027.

She loves spending time with her friends and family, enjoys all things Hamilton, and loyally cheers on the Philadelphia 76ers.
