The Wyndcroft Players Present ‘Frozen Jr.!’

The Wyndcroft stage traded its usual atmosphere for the sharp, crystalline world of Arendelle this past weekend, hosting the Wyndcroft Players’ production of Frozen Jr. on April 17 and 18. Directed by Ms. Bryant and Ms. Robinson, the show brought to life the beloved story of sisterhood, courage, and self-acceptance with energy and charm.

The production’s impact was grounded in its visual identity, shaped by the collaborative efforts of Ms. Katarynick and a dedicated student design team. Rather than relying on simple backdrops, the set pieces provided a textured, physical space that allowed the cast to move with intention, making the transition from the palace gates to the wilderness feel earned.

The actors handled the well-known score with a technical maturity that moved past the spectacle, finding the specific emotional beats that make the story resonate. By the time the final notes faded on Saturday evening, it was clear that the Wyndcroft Players hadn’t just put on a show; they had successfully translated a complex narrative into a tangible, high-energy experience. The weekend served as a sharp reminder of the skill level present within our theater program and the rigorous work that happens behind the curtain.
